Gautam Adani Unveils Historic ₹2 Lakh Crore Investment at Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit

In a momentous announcement at the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, Gautam Adani, the visionary business magnate, declared a staggering investment of over ₹2 lakh crore in Gujarat. The substantial investment is primarily earmarked for the creation of a monumental green energy park that Adani boldly claims will be visible even from space. This groundbreaking initiative is anticipated to generate a staggering 1 lakh job opportunities for the people of Gujarat.
During his address at the summit, Gautam Adani shared that the Adani Group has already committed ₹50,000 crore out of the ₹55,000 crore pledged in the previous summit, underlining the group’s commitment to fostering economic growth in the region.
The Adani Group is now set to embark on the construction of a state-of-the-art green energy park in Kutch, covering a sprawling 25 square kilometers and boasting an impressive 30 gigawatt capacity. Adani expressed his enthusiasm about this project, emphasizing that it would not only contribute significantly to the renewable energy landscape but also be a visual spectacle visible from space.
“Since 2014, India has achieved a remarkable 185% growth in GDP and a 165% growth in per capita income, despite facing unprecedented geopolitical and pandemic-related challenges,” Adani stated, highlighting the resilience and progress of the nation.
The announcement came amid the presence of distinguished guests, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and industrialist Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries.
Reliance Industries to Pioneer Carbon Fibre Facility in Gujarat
Mukesh Ambani, addressing the gathering at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, unveiled Reliance Industries’ plan to establish India’s first world-class carbon fibre facility in Hazira, Gujarat. Ambani reaffirmed Reliance’s deep-rooted connection with Gujarat, stating, “Reliance was, is, and will always remain a Gujarati company.”
Providing insights into Reliance’s substantial contributions, Ambani revealed that the company has invested over USD 150 billion (₹12 lakh crore) in creating world-class assets and capacities across India in the last decade. Gujarat alone has witnessed more than one-third of this colossal investment.
Ambani pledged Reliance’s commitment to elevating Gujarat to a global leader in green growth, supporting the state’s target to fulfill half of its energy needs through renewables by 2030. The ambitious Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex is currently under construction in Jamnagar, spanning over 5,000 acres and set to roll out in the second half of 2024. This complex will not only generate numerous green jobs but also facilitate the production of sustainable products and materials, positioning Gujarat as a prominent exporter in this domain.
Additionally, Ambani proudly announced that Reliance Jio has accomplished the fastest rollout of 5G infrastructure anywhere in the world, showcasing the company’s technological prowess.
The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit witnessed these groundbreaking announcements, signaling a new era of economic and sustainable development for the state. The ambitious projects unveiled by Adani and Ambani are expected to leave an indelible mark on Gujarat’s trajectory toward progress and global leadership in green initiatives.
