In a significant development, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced that the state government will construct a state guest house in close proximity to the majestic temple of Lord Ram currently under construction in Ayodhya. According to the official release from the Chief Minister’s Office, the Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Council has earmarked a substantial area of 4700.23 square meters in Ayodhya for the Uttarakhand state guest house. The construction of the guest house will be overseen by the Uttarakhand government.

The move is seen as a significant step in facilitating pilgrims and visitors from Uttarakhand, providing them with comfortable accommodation near the sacred site of the Ram Temple. This initiative aligns with the larger efforts to enhance facilities for devotees and further promotes religious tourism in the region.

Meanwhile, on January 22, the day of the Ram Temple consecration, the Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray announced that the party would conduct a ‘Maha Aarti’ at the Godavari River bank in Maharashtra’s Nasik. The Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya are scheduled to commence on January 16, a week ahead of the main ceremony.

Lakshmi Kant Dixit, a priest from Varanasi, will officiate the main rituals during the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22. Ayodhya will observe the Amrit Mahotsav from January 14 to January 22, marking a week-long celebration.

As part of the festivities, a 1008 Hundi Mahayagya is also planned, aiming to feed thousands of devotees. To accommodate the influx of visitors expected for the grand consecration event, several tent cities are being set up in Ayodhya, ensuring a comfortable stay for the devotees participating in this historic occasion.
